Really...11th??

So everyone knows that I am HUGE BYU fan. It was started very young in my family ;) The game yesterday was amazing!! It was awesome (a Utah awesome ;) ;) ;). So I can say this with the most devout love and adoration of BYU....ranked 11th...really? They are 14th in the AP poll which seems a little better to me. Not doubt we are a fabulous team but are we better than Ohio State? Granted Ohio State didn't put up the best showing against USC but it was USC. I do want to make it to the BCS but....Eldon, Tyson, Blake, Dad...and everyone else who follows the game, what do you think?
(rolling hands) GO COUGARS!!

If, and I recognized that it is an if, BYU plays as well as it played against UCLA against everyone else on its schedule, BYU should win the national championship. BYU has the talent, the schedule (we still have TCU and Utah by the way). The MWC owns the Pac-10. When BYU is on, they are magic; they can play with Georgia and USC if they're playing their game. Right now, I worry about the game @ TCU.

Tyson, Tyson...you really think we could be USC? Come on...our offense is good enough but I don't think our defense could stop them. Defense is why we aren't number one...

we thought of you guys as we read up on the game. I think they are doing so well because of Dr. John's influence on the school.

It is true Marci...John bring a level of spirituality never seen at BYU ;)

We have been having people over to watch the BYU games, since they are not aired here (whodda thunk?) and Bob was totally excited about actually seeing a UCLA game (he's a big fan). Needless to say, after about the end of the first quarter, attention and conversation drifted to other things. It spurred a great game of BS, though. Go Cougs!

Although I too love BYU, I have to wonder if the game was Norm's punishment for leaving theY. :)

Devin Kelm here, I see BYU going to a BCS game, but not the championship game(like Boise St., Utah, and Hawaii). Anyone up for Texas vs BYU?, although I am nervous about @ TCU, @ Utah, and to a degree vs UNLV. We should play close with whoever we play in the BCS game. If we play well (win or lose), I think they will have gained the respect to make it to the national championship game next year with expierenced players such as Hall, Collie, Unga and Pitta all returning (plus a great O-line), assuming they can go undefeated again on a schedule that includes Florida St. and Arizona St. But, yes, we are properly ranked, although Washington and UCLA really aren't very high quality opponents, last years play helped show we are the real deal. Just more proof we need a playoff system.
