Just for fun...

Let's just say that you move into a new ward...and for fun, let's pretend that your husband ALWAYS gets the same/related calling, usually before we even go once to church. What are the chances of that happening again? Well...I'd say they are pretty darn good. Make your guess and then check the comments :)

Did you guess Scouting? If you did then you have known us way too long :) That's right, 11 year old scouts and we hadn't even been to church once! First campout this weekend to Goblin Valley (in Utah the 11 year old scouts camp every month) It is like John and I have been preparing our whole lives for this calling ;)

I was close...I was thinking Young Mens. Haha.

Goblin Valley?!!! I would love to go camping there. Plus, hello, nod to Galaxy Quest. Plus, I mean hoodoos are just so much fun. Hide and seek! Oh man, oh man...I'm so jealous.

I was thinking Elders Quorum, because that's the calling he had here. :)

UGH! Have fun!! I think we are in the same boat with you now! Especially since Intel donates money to the troop when Eric "volunteers" his time. What I really mean is, I love scouts and love, love, love supporting my husband as he spends every weekend for seven weeks on the scouts :) (Eric may need a new job soon)

Goblin Valley is awesome. I wish I was going too! John did end up in the EQ presidency there but he was the Bears leader before that. Krinn at first I found scouting overwhelming but I adjusted. John also really liked taking some of our boys with him, he said he felt like the scouts acted better with them around so it wasn't too bad.

We are the same - my husband is ALWAYS in Young Mens, unless he's taking a short break as Ward Mission Leader. And that about sums up his callings since we've been married.

I was going to guess that! :D We followed John's example and let Danny take Jarom when he was in the Young Men. With three boys, I think we are going to follow your route. Good luck! (And if he takes the boys on campouts then I should say "Have a nice Break")

not surprised! It's a good fit. And yes, you have been preparing your whole lives for this. Wish Connor got to have John as his 11 year old leader!

i think it is crazy how some people always have the same callings no matter where they go. i've never understood scouting lingo... as much as I've tried, I don't get it. At least utah has some amazing camping spots.
